18 Month Newsletter (Hudson)

November 10th, 2011

Dearest Little Buddy,

You’re 18 months old now!  That’s a whole year and a half!  I can’t believe it!

You turned 18 months while we were in Canada, so we celebrated, Canadian style.
For Canada day we were on the beach in Vancouver, and with the tide quite a ways out you were in baby heaven, playing with the mud and sand.  Also you found a new big boy idol.  You thought Jacob was the bees knees, it was pretty cute.  Also while in Vancouver we went to a water park in Stanley Park, which was fun for you and Trixie, but at one point I lost you, and it was one of the most terrifying moments in my life.  I was making sure Trixie wasn’t getting into trouble and I looked away from you for a moment, and you were gone.  I panicked but luckily Daddy was able to spot you, (I’m grateful you were wearing a bright yellow shirt!) and I went sprinting through the crowds to get you.  When I scooped you up I felt better.  Luckily you weren’t fazed by it all, you had just wandered away, you didn’t know yet that you were lost and weren’t scared.  I’ve learned that I have to keep a really close eye on you, it seems that your invisible tether to me is much longer than Trixie’s ever was at your age.  Yet another example of how you are NOT like your sister!

On the way home from Canada we brought Auntie Kelly and cousin Liam with us, and you enjoyed having another kid in the car too, and a boy!  By the time we were on the way home you had gotten used to all of the driving (really after day one on the way up you were fine) and thought it was a great game.  You loved seeing the sea gulls in Seattle and tried to feed them french fries, which is encouraged, but they were such big birds, so Daddy or I helped you to feed them.  They were pretty dynamic in their pursuit of the fries though.  We all enjoyed watching them.

On to other things…

You want to pee in a potty!  You’re so keen on it, I’m amazed.  You’ll try to pee with Daddy when he’s peeing, which means you pee on the floor.  But every morning you ask to go to the potty, sometimes successfully, sometimes not.   I’ve also learned that taking you and your sister potty when we are at the mall is a challenge, but I’m making it work, somehow!  Good thing you’re both such patient children!

Your speech is improving, you are fascinated with the “K” sound, you’ll say a word then repeat the “K” sound a few times.  Book-k-k-k. shark-k-k-k, truck-k-k-k, sock-k-k-k, you also like shoe, but there’s no hard sound to repeat.  You also roar, it’s adorable.  You often walk around the house the a turtle puzzle piece roaring, but it’s sounds like “rooooarrreeeeerrrrr”  cute, cute, ctue.

You’ve discovered Yo Gabba Gabba this month, you still don’t watch much, but you will proclaim “Rock!” (k-k-k-k) when you hear the opening credits.  I’m pretty sure you mean DJ Lance Rock, who was your hero for about 2 weeks.

You want to do whatever Trixie does, and you let her dictate your play.  Often I find you two playing fairies, you wearing the green wings and a green crown, and Trixie wearing pink wings and a pink crown.  I must say, you two are an adorable set of faries!

You are obsessed with the kitchen and are in there often helping me.  It’s adorable.  And by help I mean get under my feet.  But I will let you stir things when I am making up a mix of dry stuff, and you’re so proud.  Once while I was making muffins you helped and then tried to help dish the wet batter out.  I”m pretty sure you spilled at least a muffin worth, but it was adorable and you were so proud.

The most noteworthy thing this month was your first temper tantrum.  It wasn’t too crazy, but you are starting to let me know how you feel about stuff.  I guess you’re really coming out of babyhood and establishing yourself firmly in toddlerhood.

My sweet boy, you’re amazing and I”m lucky.

I love you so much.

Love forever and always.

Mama.

41st month Newsletter (Beatrix)

November 9th, 2011

Trixie!  You’re 41 months old now!

This month started while we were in Canada.  To celebrate, or rather just because we were there we went to the Royal Terrell Museum and on the way to it from Grandma and Grandpa’s house we picked up your cousin Tessa to go to the museum with us.  You were in heaven, it’s your favourite museum and you got to spend more time with your big cousin, whom you adore.  On a side note, when I see you with her I am always shocked and how tiny you are.  Because I mostly only see you in the context of you and your brother or peers, you’re smaller than everyone else, but not that small, but next to a big 7 year old you’re tiny!  Also becasue she’s older I can really see how young you are.  Sometimes I forget and I ask so much of you, and you, being the big girl you are, deliver!  Anyhow some friends met us at the museum too, so we had a great time with April and Ameila as well as Tessa.

Luckily for us, while we were there they had “Black Beauty” on display.  You were amazed!  You said to me with a breathy, in awe voice: “It’s so beautiful!”  Sweetie girl, you made me so proud.  You saw beauty in bones!  My tiny little geek!  Just around the corner from Black Beauty (which we looked at for a long time) was a palentologist sitting and working so everyone could watch.  You want to watch him for a long time too.  I think you might have an idea of what you want to be when you are older.  The rest of the museum was as amazing as ever for you.  I love that you’re not scared of the dinosaurs, but rather in love with them and you just find more and more wonder whenever we go there.

Soon after we got back from the museum we had to leave Calgary, we went to Kelowna to go and have our pictures taken of you and Hudson and with Mama and Daddy.  It was a pretty spectacular photo shoot, and lucky for us my friend was the photographer, she was able to get some pretty amazing photos of you and Hudson (and Chachi).  Also in Kelowna we visited with Auntie Kelly and Uncle Rob and cousin Liam.  You had a great time with them as always, and while we were there we decided that Auntie Kelly and cousin Liam would come home with us for a little trip of their own.  But first we went to Vancouver to visit with some friends and they came over to drive with us later.  While in Vancouver we visited with my friend Sharilyn and her kids Jacob and Lola.  Jacob is a big 3 year old like you, and you two had so much fun!  We celebrated Canada day on the beach, which was great fun.  You didn’t like the mud though, and when the ground was really sticky you were upset by that.  Mostly you liked to dig in the sand and build castles with all of the kids.

Finally after a little visit in Vancouver we went home with Auntie Kelly and Liam.  It was a long drive, but you handled it like a pro.  Also everyone was happy that the new van has a DVD player in it!  We put it to good use on the trip!

When we were home you had a great time playing with Liam for the few days that he was here.  There was some growing pains for him and you, since he’s not used to being around kids all fo the time and you’re not used ot being around him all of the time, but all in all you two did great.  I really love how you guys are going to be such great friends, even though we live so far away from them.

Also this month you’ve started to pick up some more vocabulary that’s worth mentioning.  Words like: gross, freaky, freak, freaked, actually (pronounced octually) the ever present moooooooommmmmm, said in the most exasperating tone.

You and I have had a few funny exchanges too.  My favourite was:

Trixie: “Mama, why do you have crack in your eyes?”

me: “They’re not crack, Love, they’re wrinkles.”

Trixie: “No Mama, thy’re cracks from when I am naughty!”

A while ago you were “reading” to yourself:  ”3 little kittens find their snow hands and go outside…”.  You were reading 3 Little Kittens and their mittens.  You’re such a little Californian girl.

This month we’ve been to lots of birthday parties, so often during our weekly family brunch you and Daddy would make a birthday card.  I’m sure we looked funny at the table with all of our stickers and card stuff, but you had a great time, and I think Daddy did too!.

One of the parties we went to was for Nadia, who turned 5.  She had her party at a farm and you and Hudson had so much fun.  You loved the ponies and the goats, and spent so much time on the pony ride.  There was also a bounce house that you enjoyed playing in.  Also this month was Sylvia’s first birthday, and we helped her to celebrate too.  You love Sylvia so much, it’s really adorable, then often after we spend time with Sylvia you remind me again how badly you want a little sister.

Another fun field trip we did this month was to the Cal Academy in San Francisco.  You spent a lot of time looking at the snakes, again, not afraid of them at all, totally mesmerized by them.  We also saw some of the amazingly large fish that they have there!   The biggest hit of the day though, was rolling down the hill on the front lawn of the museum.

Finally sweet Trixie.  You’re amazing.  Every day you do something I just sit and am amazed by, be it just watching you sleep and seeing your sweet little rose bud mouth mumble in your sleep, or watching your amazingly long eyelashes flutter.

I love you so much!

Love,
Mama.

Like butter….

November 8th, 2011

Okay that was lame, but I”m having a pretty crazy case of spreading myself a little too thin.

What is this thing about moderation?  Huh?  I suck at it.

So another lame post.  Sorry!

But I will win NaBloPoMo again!  And NaNoWriMo too…. off to write about the boys… they’re dreamy if I do say so myself.

NaNoWriMo update

November 7th, 2011

I’m super busy today, and I accidentally fell asleep with the kids, so I’m even more short on time.

Anyhow, I’ve been working on my nanowrimo book and it’s coming along well.  I’m writing a gay romantic distopia.  Who knew, right?

It’s really fun to write, it’s like reading one of those choose your own adventure books.  I’ll be plugging along and I am compelled to make something happen that I normally wouldn’t have.

As I write I do wonder if I could ever be published, then I hope really hard that my dad never reads it, which I don’t think would be much of an issue… but you know.

My feelings on the Occupy Movement.

November 6th, 2011

A few weeks ago I posted on my Facebook wall that I didn’t understand the Occupy thing.  I figured it was people mostly griping that they’ve lost their houses, and that a lot of people have difficulty with finances, not always by fault of their own, but difficulty nonetheless.

Now, that is the issue for many.  Some people are in a pickle because they didn’t respect their credit, and now they’re screwed.  But they’re not what the occupy movement is about, granted some are riding the movment’s coattails to gripe about their situation, but again, that’s not what it’s about.

It’s about the recent uni grad who has piles of student loans and no job prospects, regardless of their chosen field, even if they chose a job for warm fuzzies, they shouldn’t have to be destitute because they went to school.  Also the idea that it’s their fault for not choosing a more practical degree or diploma is faulty as well.  Why should people have to choose a career that they will hate for the rest of their lives just so that they can get a job to live on? Why shouldn’t everyone love their careers?  It’s not right.

Moving on….

The movement is about the single mom who has children who she can’t afford to have medical insurance for, or has mediciad for, but is always worried that something will happen and it will be taken away.  It’s not right.

It’s about people who lost their houses because they were promised XYZ by the bank just so that sale could be made.  (Mortgages are products folks, you are buying money, lenders/ brokers and the like are sales people, they are selling you money, they keep track of their monthly sales.  Says the girl who always had wicked high sales while she was in the bank.  I’d like to think I was ethical though, and the bank I worked for was small and had crazy high standards.)

It’s about the people who are upside down in their mortgages because the economy tanked.  (Being upside down means that you owe more on your house than it’s worth.)

It’s about the rampant trashing of our environment and how it’s not being monitored well enough.  (I am aware that I married into a gas and oil family, but I also know that my father in law’s company works hard to protect the environment, as do many oil companies, there’s more trashing being done by non oil companies as well.)

It’s about men who work such crazy hours that they get to see their kids only on weekends.

It’s about the general discord there is in the country.  It’s about how a corporation is more valuable than a human.  It’s about how you have to have a salary of at least 6 figures, to “live the dream”.

It’s not fair.

It’s not a pissing contest.  I loathe reading the accounts of how a woman’s husband works 12 hour days and only get a few days off a year so that hippies can camp in a park to protest.  How he works so hard for the greater good, blah blah blah.  My comment to that is, should he have to work that hard for his family?  Does that man’s children really know him?  Does he really know his children?  Is that right?

I don’t think it is.

So I support the movement, and I came about this gradually.  I read a lot, I asked a lot of questions.  (I have graceful patient friends.  And they’re not all dread locked hippies, although some are and they’re awesome too!)

Through this movement my children can have a better life, but more importantly all children can have a better life.

I won’t take my children to an occupation though, what happened in Oakland was wrong and horrible and scares me.  I likely won’t go either, I can’t risk losing my visa, but I will support in other ways.  Like announcing to the world that I support the movement, by not buying presents for my children from a big box store, by buying more used products for my house, or buying from locally owned businesses.   I will buy local, in season produce (it’s easy in California.)  I’ll buy local, humanely raised meat.  I’ll teach my children the values that I hold close to me about the economy and what I feel is right and just.  I’ll find other ways to support the movement.  I’ll keep reading and learning.  I won’t be perfect, but every little bit helps.

I won’t teach my children that the police officers are bad, I won’t refer to them with slanderous terms.  The ones in Oakland were wrong, they did some horrible things, granted they were told to, but they weren’t told to fire a 40mm canister at a man’s head, they were wrong.  But I can’t, in good conscience teach my children to fear the police.

Even if you, my reader, don’t agree with the movement, there must be something that you do agree with.  Do you agree that the tshirt you’re wearing should have been made by someone overseas who was paid cents an hour?  Do you agree that the chocolate in your snicker’s bar was likely picked by children who are getting paid cents a day?  Do you agree that the  mom and pop store downtown was shut down because Walmart undercut them?  Do you honestly sit there and read this and tell me that everything is okay?  That the economy is fine?  ’Cause if you actually think that, then I question your humanity.

Happy Birthday Grannie!

November 5th, 2011

Today would have been my Grannie’s birthday, and today was also my Grannie and Grandpa’s anniversary.

I miss them, a lot.

I’m realizing a lot lately as I delve deeper into the holistic world how much I learned from my Grannie.

I remember her making kombucha, I remember learning how to ferment, pickle and preserve from her.  I learned to knead a loaf from her, I learned to make food from scratch.  I learned so much at her knee, and here I am now, using that same knowledge to raise and nourish my children.

I was a lucky girl to have such amazing grandparents.

17th Month Newsletter (Hudson)

November 4th, 2011

Dear Husdon.

This month you are 17 months old!  While we were on our big road trip you turned 17 months old, so there is some more noteworthy points of the trip to Canada.

While we were in Calgary we went to Drumheller to the Royal Terrell Museum and you were in awe the whole time.  I could hear your little voice everywhere we went: “that! that! that!” you kept shouting pointing and the various displays.  Just like your sister you loved all of the dinosaurs!  I am so glad that you weren’t scared of them.  Quite the opposite, I had to work at keeping you off of the displays!  You wanted to climb on and inspect everything!

Also on our trip we went to Mt.Rushmore and you were properly awed and amazed, but it was at Yellowstone that you were the most amazed, while we were watching a geiser you shouted in your tiny adorable baby voice: “Whoa!  Lookit that!”  It was clear as day and so precious!  Again like your sister you love being in nature and you enjoyed our walks about Yellowstone.  Clearly we need to go camping with you more!  (But with a carefully protected fire pit!)   Also on our trip we visited lots of Great Aunts and Uncles and a Great Great Aunt!  We went to see my Great Auntie Babs, who is your Great Great Auntie, you were perfectly adorable and charmed her, as you do everyone you meet.  I was so proud of you and your sister!  While we were driving on the great road trip you spent a lot of time looking for big trucks on road.  You’d gleefully point out the truck, and should “bye truck!” as it drove away.  This further confirmed your adorable boyness.

Developmentally you’ve had a busy month, learning a new word a day, either verbally or through sign, so because of all of the hard work your little brain is doing, you are understandably, a little more grumpy than normal.  Your adorableness more than makes up for it.  You’re saying things like “pay-eese” for please and “ba pay-eese” for banana please.  You’ll chase the pets around shouting “pet pet pet” at them as you try to pet them.  Luckily they’re pretty tolerant, but could you lay off their tails?  They’re not so fond of the tugging.   Another developmental milestone is that you’re drinking out of an open cup regularly now, which is nice.  I’m so glad that we’ve missed the whole sippy cup phase, they’re a pain to clean!  Also this month you’ve been working more on peeing on the potty, we’ve had a handful of successes, which is nice, and even nicer that you’re doing it mostly on your own!

Your eating is the same, still slowing down.  Some days I still think of you as this massive eater, than I realize that your more on par to how much your sister eats, although you are all about meat and fruit.  You love apples.  I have to keep an eye on the apples in the bowl on the table.  I often find tiny bites missing out of the apples, tiny little Hudson sized bites!  I’ll also find apples scattered through out the house, with tiny little Hudson bites missing all over the apple, sometimes you’ll have eaten much of the apple and just forgotten about it as you’ve played, leaving me to find a nicely browned apple that’s been sitting out for a hour or so.  I can’t complain, clearly you can handle the apple eating and it’s healthy!  Hurray!  I’ve also been finding apples with nibbled missing in the garbage, along with other toys and items.  You’ve learned to work the garbage can, and you love to throw things away.  I have to make sure that I check it a couple times a day to resuce anything that you’ve thrown out that shouldn’t have been.  I’m pretty sure that I’ve missed a couple things, like some of the wooden puzzle pieces and Caillou’s helmet….

This month we went to see the doctor for your 15 month well child check up, (late as always) and you’re in the 27% for weight and 56% for height, which is amusing to me because to me you feel like you’re a hulking kid, but really, you’re a little bit small for your age, which is okay, your dad was a giant kid, so why would you be?  The doctor also informed me that you’re perfectly healthy and average in all ways, which is so nice.  Yay for healthy and normal!

Another big milestone this month was that you went for your first professional haircut!  I’ve been trimming your bangs, but I’m a terrible barber and you were starting to look like Jim Carrey’s character from “Dumb and Dumber”, so I figured it was time to see a professional.  Besides with me only having the guts to trim your bangs the rest was starting to get rather mulletish.  So your beautiful curls needed a wee trim to even it all out.  Now you are rocking a long bowl cut, with your curls still intact and no bangs in your eyes.  You’re positively adorable, and rather angelic.

Finally the last thing worth mentioning is your affinity for eating crayons.  Please, please please sweet boy, could we lay off the crayons?  The technicolour diapers, while amusing to start are kind of disturbing.  I should not be seeing blue, green and orange all in your diapers at once, it makes me want to rush you to the hospital!  In other news, thank you Crayola for being non toxic!

My sweet boy!  You are amazing and precious and perfect.  Thank you so much for being the sweet baby you are, and showing me that boys are amazing and not even a little bit scary. I’m so blessed.

Love always,
Mama.

40th Month Newsletter (Beatrix)

November 3rd, 2011

Dear Trixie,

This month you are 40 months old!

As we launch into summer we had some exciting news for you.  After trying for a few months to get pregnant by going to the doctor a lot and taking lots of scary medicine, I finally got pregnant!  It was exciting for everyone in the family, and Daddy and I couldn’t help but tell you that you were going to have a new baby brother or sister.  And you were so excited, you’ve been asking for a baby to come and we’ve talked about where babies come from, (the mommy cell and the daddy cell join together and eventually they grow into a baby in the Mama’s tummy).  However, the baby didn’t make it and I had a miscarriage.  And the most difficult part of all of this was explaining to you that there won’t be a baby.  You were crushed, and very curious about where the baby went and if you could see the baby.  Daddy and I explained to you that the baby died and that it was very small so you wouldn’t be able to see it.  Luckily you were okay with that answer.  You still ask about the baby, and still want a baby sibling, but you understand what happened.  Next time we’ll do a better job of waiting to tell you.

Because I was pregnant and because we need another car that could hold a carseat we decided to get a new minivan, you and your brother came to see all of the vans and had a great time sitting in them all.  While we were checking out one van you and your brother were playing in the front of the van and somehow one of you managed to drop a small paintbrush that Hudson had into the vents of the van.  It’s a good thing we eventually bought from that dealership!  After looking at a lot of different vans we finally settled on the Toyota Sienna, and we made sure it had a DVD player in it so you and your brother could watch movies on our long trips, because sure enough days after bringing the van home we took a long, long trip up to Canada.

On our way up to Canada we made a few stops to see some sights, we saw Mount Rushmore and you were amazed by the big heads and we went to Yellowstone National Park.  You loved Yellowstone!  You told us that the giesers were like a volcanoe, and you squealed when Ol’ Faithful erupted.  You are such a little nature girl!  While we were in Canada you had a great time visiting with family that you don’t see often, we went to Winnipeg to see your great Auntie Saundra and Great Uncle Joe, then we went through Brandon and say your Great Auntie Joanne and your Great Great Auntie Babs.   Auntie Babs is my Great Auntie and I was so thrilled that you got to meet her, she is my Grandpa’s sister, and they look so much alike.   While we were in Calgary we got to visit with lots of friends and family, you had a lot of fun.

Also this month you’ve started to drop your nap, which makes for a very tired Mama at the end of the day.  I guess that it’s okay that you’re dropping your nap since you’ll be going to school in the afternoon 2 times a week, and you can’t nap at school!  Luckily your brother still naps so you just have some quiet time and I can still manage to get some things done, with a little peace and quiet.  It’s still a work in progress though, and you have napped through a few of your afternoon ballet classes, so we’ll see come August when school starts how you are faring with the no napping.

This month was Daddy’s birthday, and you choose his cake.  He had an ice cream cake from Cold Stone, but more importantly it had characters from Finding Nemo on it.  You’ve just watched that movie and are a little obsessed with Nemo, which works well with your obsession with Ariel and all things Little Mermaid.   I think you were much more excited for Daddy’s cake than Daddy was!  You also helped to make Daddy some birthday cards and actually wrote your name in the and the word “Daddy”, everyone was so proud of you!

Little love, I adore you so much!  You are turning into such a little lady!

love, always and forever,

Mama.

16th Month Newsletter (Hudson)

November 2nd, 2011

Dearest Hudson,

You are 16 months old now!  I can’t believe how quickly time is passing and how you are changing from my tiny baby to this hulking toddler!  You are amazingly adorable and cuddly, every day I am amazed at how you are such a little person, not just a mini version of your sister, but a unique person yourself.  I know it seems a little silly to notice this, but it’s hard to not compare you to your sister, so noticing how different you are is amazing.  You are so sensitive and intuitive, and yet such a boy!  I love it!

This month has been busy and full of new thing.  Much to your absolute joy we’ve started gymnastics for you.  You’re in the Diaper Dynos class, which is for crawlers to 2.5 year old kids.  Since Trixie has started in a class that doesn’t require a parent I’ve been wrestling with you to keep you away from all of the equipment while she’s in class, and you have not been happy about that!  Sadly we were on a waitlist to get into your class and it was going to be a while until we could get in, but luckily the head preschool teacher put you in the class, ahead of all of the waitlisted students.  She said it wasn’t fair to make you watch while everyone else played.  So now we’re in the class and you love it!  LOVE!  Your favourite things are to hang from the bar and crawl over the obstacles, you also like the parachute time, but you don’t participate much, but that’s okay it’s still all new to you, I expect you’ll be all over it soon!

With your eating you’re the same, although you’re starting to slow down a little with your eating and not consuming everything in sight.  Some days I worry that you’re not eating enough greens, but then I remember that you LOVE seaweed and eat as much as you can get, or rather as much as you can get away from your sister who also loves seaweed.  Often while eating seaweed we’re eating miso, which is a favourite of yours, both you and your sister like to sip it from your bowls.  I love that you are so eager to eat it, it’s good for you and yummy too.  You adore fruit, especially oranges.  Recently you’ve learned to sign ‘orange’ and and you’ve started to use it to be the sign for all fruit, we’re working on teaching you the other signs, you’re getting close to using ‘banana’.

This month we went camping on the beach with some friends.  The first day that we got there we went right down to the beach to see everyone and play in the water.  Your sister was quick to go to play in the waves and you tried to follow her but the splash upset you, and you were much happier to just sit with me while Trixie and Daddy played in the water.  You tried a couple of other times, but the big splash of water was scary to you, so you just drove cars in the sand with the other boys who were there with us.  After we played at the beach we made the big hike back up to the camp ground and while Daddy was setting up our brand new tent you were playing.  At one point you decided that you needed to check out the fire pit and before anyone could get to you, you reached out your little baby hand and grabbed the metal bin that was the fire pit.  You had blisters across the tips of your fingers (pointer, ring and middle) on your hand.  You, understandably, cried a lot, and had a hard time going to sleep that night.  The only thing that calmed you down was for me to blow on them.  The next day you were fine and had a great time frolicking and playing with the other kids.  Everyone was extra careful to make sure all of the kids stayed well away from the fire pit.  That day when we got home I checked your hand again and saw that more blisters formed across the top of your palm, where your fingers meet your hand.  To be cautious I took you to the doctor and they put some cream on your hand and wrapped it with gauze up to your wrist, it looked so sad.  You were a trooper and left the bandage on and didn’t pull at it at all.  We were able to leave it on for a day or so, then it came off, the blisters did pop, but we kept them clean and you were fine.  I was shocked at how quickly you healed!  We all learned a lesson from this: to always bring a cage to put around a fire pit!

This month since you’ve started to show some interest in potty learning I’ve bought you some adorable little baby briefs, and you are so cute when you wear them!  I just can’t help myself, and I give your adorable little tush a wee pinch.  You are so proud when you are wearing them too, if a tiny little guy like you could strut, I’d say you were strutting!

Your wee mouth has been giving you some trouble as your teeth come in.  You seem to be suffering less than when your first ones came in, but you’re still waking a little more than normal, but all in all you’re dealing with them well.  I haven’t had to use any painkillers and mostly we can get by with cuddles or some homeopathy.

I went away this month for a scrapbooking weekend and you had your first few nights away from Mama.  Daddy was home with you and Trixie, and I was given reports of how you were fine.  I was lonely to have no warm little bodies in bed with me though, but we all survived and I managed to get a lot of work done on my scrapbook.  I promise to not go away a lot though, I don’t like being away from you, your sister and Daddy!

Finally, Little Man I love you so much.  I’ve already mentioned how time has gone by so fast, and yet I can’t imagine my life without you.  My tiny little baby stud.

Love,

Mama.

Nanowrimo/ Nablopomo

November 1st, 2011

Okay, here we go, November one, so my blog gets some much needed love.  Poor little blog, been neglected since August, Mama loves you, I do, it’s just that I have small folk now.

So the big news is that I’m also doing Nanowrimo, (national novel writing month), so along with a post a day I’m going to write 50K word novel this month too.  I also intend to work out as much as I am supposed to and make sure my children lead interesting lives, oh and feed everyone, several times a day, since they keep demanding that.

I might fail, I might be bitchy, I might be a super star.

Stay tuned!

PS this totally counts as a post, but I do intend to get caught up on my love letters, I have all the notes done, I just have to go ahead and do them.
