Interesting. Isabelle gets at most 30min of PBS cartoons/day but she still asks for stuff in toy catalogs. Don't know how she figured out what she sees can be hers (ie: pink toy vaccuum in Pottery Barn Kids catalog).

we have friends from the States up here right now and they attended a Rembrance Day cereomony in a school here and we shocked by the respect and honour given to those who have served and esp. the ones in the wars. Our friend is a vet and he says they never have things like that in the States on Nov 11. In fact, he was crying during it.

haha! I know how you feel. I lived there for about 4 years as well. Then my loyalties were to South Africa for 4 years and now back in Canada and I feel all is well. Of course I have 1 child who has dual citizenship as she was born in the States (she says she is American), two born in Africa (one whom fully believes he is African!) and the other 2 are staunchly Canadian. At least one of them was born here! It is a little unreal, but through it all-You are CANADIAN! and so am I.

I am very anti-war but I leave those feelings aside and think of those who died: the soldiers and their families on all sides as well as the innocent lives lost and damaged due to war.

Our current fixation for Aria is split between Princess and the Frog, and Ponyo. I am forced to become fond of both of them. :-)

One nice thing about the Princess and the Frog is that the girl is a hard worker and very disciplined, which is great! The prince is such a slacker, but he learns (a little) to work hard, and she learns to have some fun.

Ponyo is just gorgeous, but may be scary for some children.

Deadra,
I am so with you and will join you in being proud of our calves. Mine are 18 inches and while I have (recently) lost weight and many inches (including 5 off my hips-YAY!), my calves have not budged. I don't know if they ever will. And now if I come to the States again I will know to look for rainboots at Target, as they certianly have none up here to fit me!
